FINAL SQUAD: Mackay’s top 10 make Gold Stars’ 25

NINE of Mackay’s 10 North Queensland Gold Stars representatives will take the field for the first time as a QRL Women’s Premiership unit this weekend.
Only Brothers’ Kya Mooney will be missing in action when the Gold Stars face QRLW rivals the Central Queensland Capras at Rockhampton’s Browne Park tomorrow.
Women’s State of Origin star Steph Mooka and Indigenous All stars representative Shaniah Power are the remaining two to drop from the Gold Stars’ Top 25 list for coach Gavin Lloyd’s game day 22.

In the Top 25 list released on Tuesday, Mackay and Townsville each contributed 10 players and Cairns a further five to the inaugural North Queensland QRL Women’s Premiership franchise.
The Gold Stars play their first game for points on Saturday, March 14 against Brothers Ipswich.
