BB Print Stadium in Mackay to host NRL fixtures in 2022

Mackay has been rewarded for its hosting duties in 2021 and will hold another NRL game at BB Print Stadium next season.

It was the league of sugar, spice and everything nice in 2021, and next season the NRL will have a distinct Mackay flavour.

After hosting multiple home-and-away season games, as well as two semi finals, BB Print Stadium will welcome back professional rugby league in 2022.

The Roosters will play a game against the Gold Coast Titans in Mackay, with the sugar city a second home for the Sydney-based team in 2021.

The sides will meet on Saturday, May 7, with kick-off at 5.30pm.

Sydney’s season ended at BB Print Stadium after losing to the Sea Eagles in the semi final, with the game also Josh Morris’ last game at the elite level.

BB Print Stadium hosted Sydney v Parramatta, New Zealand v Canberra, and Sydney v Canberra in the regular season, before the two semi finals between Penrith and Parramatta, and Sydney and Manly-Warringah.
