RACQ Central Queensland called to Peak Downs Highway truck crash in Epsom

An RACQ Central Queensland helicopter has been tasked to help a driver after a truck crash on the Peak Downs Highway to the east of Nebo.

A rescue helicopter is en route to help a driver after a truck crash on Peak Downs Highway.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said crews were called to Stockyard Creek bridge in Epsom, about 30km east of Nebo shortly after 9am.

The spokeswoman said the truck had veered off the road and crashed into the surrounding area.

She said the driver had arm and lower back injuries with crews assessing for potential head injuries but appeared to be in a stable condition.

Earlier reports indicated the driver had been trapped in the truck.

A police spokeswoman said traffic was not affected but to drive cautiously through the area.
