Four Mackay-based industrial businesses will have the opportunity to snap up a parcel of prime real estate at the Port of Mackay.
Four sites are currently available for lease.
A North Queensland Bulk Ports spokesman said the sites were suitable and light to heavy industrial activities such as bulk storage, workshops for transport and logistics, warehousing, and storage.
“Industries that could benefit from these sites include any that support mining, agriculture, transport or port-related services,” the spokesman said.
“NQBP receives regular inquiries for our lease sites and currently has a low vacancy rate in the Mackay port area.”
NQBP currently offers leases on “competitive terms” for varying periods of up to 12 years.
An estimate of annual rent prices for the individual sites is available on the NQBP website.
“NQBP will consider and negotiate initial concessional rental for a limited time, depending on the level of development expenditure necessary for a business to become operational,” the spokesman said.
“Rent is reassessed annually on October 1 – a market rent review will occur every four years, with CPI increases in the intervening years.”
The available sites include 1 Ron Searle Drive, 11 Spiller Ave, 27 Spiller Ave, and 29 Spill Ave.
NQBP is the development assessment manager under planning legislation for development or use of its strategic port land holdings at the Port of Mackay.
