Dunes Harbour Beach buyer reveals decision to move

Shoal Point resident one of the first to buy into massive $250 million seaside development Dunes Harbour Beach as blocks are released to the market.

A Shoal Point resident has become one of the first to buy into the massive $250 million seaside development Dunes Harbour Beach as blocks are steadily released to the market.

Henry Fatiaki will knock over three milestone moments in 2021: getting married, the birth of his child, and buying a new home.

It's a big year for the marine pilot who will move from Shoal Point to the Sol Precinct at the sprawling East Point development.

"Some of our friends and family think we're crazy to lock down three monumental moments all in one year, but after the year that was, we want to live life to the fullest," Mr Fatiaki said.

He secured the lot in the Sol Precinct in early February on suggestion from his father-in-law, Mr Fatiaki said.

"We were immediately drawn to the opportunity due to its proximity to the beach and views overlooking the conservation area," he said.

"As I work at sea nearly every day, it's nice to change up the scenery a little.

"The best part is we will only ever have two neighbours on either side of us and keep our view forever."

The decision to buy into the estate came down to location and lifestyle, he said.

"As we are growing our family, location was the key driver for us," he said.

"To be able to walk to the beach of an afternoon and still be within 10 minutes of the CBD is going to be magical.

"Looking long term, there's plenty of schools close by so there's no chance of us making a move with everything we want all in one place.

"The lot options have allowed us to allocate more budget towards building our forever home and living out the Australian dream."

The $250 million Dunes Harbour Beach estate design blends modern homes with future tourism, dining and cafe spaces with the ultimate intention of connecting the precinct to the natural conservation and Harbour Beach.

The first release in the Sol Precinct consists of 15 allotments with beachfront and conservation outlooks.
