Police vehicle crash near Kuttabul stops Bruce Highway
The Bruce Highway was brought to a standstill between Mackay and Proserpine after a three vehicle crash involving a police vehicle hospitalised two.

A three car crash on the Bruce Highway north of Mackay left a red hatchback with an obliterated chassis, a police vehicle towed out of a ditch and two people in hospital.
Emergency services responded to the 1:30 crash near the intersection of the Bruce Highway and Buthurra Rd which closed the section of the road off for 30 minutes.
Two people sustained injuries in the collision with a male with neck, shoulder and hip injuries, as well as a female believed to be in her 20s with back pain being transported to Mackay Base hospital in stable condition.
A white SUV with a crumpled bonnet was towed alongside a red hatchback, the front chassis destroyed.
Last to be pulled from a ditch on the side of the road was a police 4WD, which had sustained significant damage to its driver side, with the driver side door hanging broken off its hinges.
The vehicles were towed at 3.16pm and the Bruce was reopened just after 3.20pm
