A magistrate has blasted a gym bro-turned-convicted stalker as an absolute “grub” after he sent around private images without permission, saying he’d be lucky if any young lady wanted to “touch you with a 100-foot pole”.

The now 26 year old abused one of his victims, calling her derogatory names including via money transfers for as little as 10 cents.

“They are people out there … not your play things,” Magistrate Damien Dwyer told Zak Jordan Winsley, who has spent almost a year behind bars on remand after committing these vile acts against three victims.

In October 2023 the Campwin Beach man took an illegal recording and in January 2024 he sent explicit images of three women without consent.

Mackay Magistrates Court heard in December 2024 Winsley was sentenced for stalking in July 2023, against one of the three victims, and was jailed for 18 months with parole release.

“(He) violated the privacy of three young women … by distributing intimate images of these young women without their consent,” prosecutor Kay Cora said.

The court heard this offending occurred on the same day, January 20, 2024.

“This shows (Winsley’s) complete disregard to the victim’s … privacy.”

The court heard Winsley also sent abusive text messages including calling one of his victim’s “a whore” … telling her to keep her legs shut, threatening to arrange someone to “bash” her, as well as calling her 25-30 times a day and leaving abusive messages in money transfers totalling as little at 10 cents to $1.

“Another form … to abuse the (victim),” Ms Cora said, adding this offending occurred within the dates of the stalking.

Winsley pleaded guilty to making observations or recordings of the genital or anal region in breach of privacy, distributing intimate images, possessing dangerous drugs and other charges.

The court heard he has spent 330 days in presentence custody and was also subject to a 10-year restraining order.

Solicitor Rosie Varley said her client had no prior convictions for dangerous drugs.

“You’re a mug, you’re an idiot, you’re a fool and you’re a grub,” Mr Dwyer said.

“Calling them hoes (sic), I know who the ho (sic) is and it wasn’t them.

“These girls didn’t need what you did to them.

“Simple fact is you’ve got to grow up.”
Winsley was jailed for 12 months with immediate parole and the 33o days was declared as time already served.

Mr Dwyer told Winsley after this ladies might not want to touch him “with a 100-foot pole”.

Convictions were recorded.
