A BANNED driver has been warned he would be in “prison country” if he was busted behind the wheel again while on a court-ordered disqualification.
Now William John Terrence Pilcher will not have a licence until early 2025.
“It was a silly day to drive that’s for sure,” he told Mackay Magistrates Court.

He was picked up on September 24 this year while returning a hire car, barely a month after he had been banned from driving for two years.
“I shouldn’t have driven, I knew that,” he said after pleading guilty to disqualified driving.
Magistrates Damien Dwyer gave Pilcher a stern warning that not only should he not be driving for the next two years, but now he was at risk of jail if he was caught again.
“You’re in prison country if you come back again, fairly, squarely in the middle of it,” Mr Dwyer said.
“Not only did you drive, but … it was only a month after you received two years.
