Woman charged with firearm theft at Mirani home
Police are searching for missing handguns following a theft from a Mirani home. A 25-year-old woman is due to face court over the alleged theft of the guns.

A woman has been charged with weapon theft from a Mirani home, but detectives are still searching for the outstanding firearms.
Police have called for community help in finding the three handguns stolen from a Mia Mia address on January 12, 2023.
Detective Acting Inspector Chris Eaton said the firearms were still outstanding.
A 25-year-old woman has been charged over the theft and is expected to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court in February.
It is understood she was known to the victim.
Detective Inspector Eaton said police investigation to date had failed to locate the three handguns.
“Firearms are often stolen and end up in the hands of criminal organisations or offenders,” Detective Inspector Eaton said.
“Those weapons can then be used in the course of serious offences, therefore the retrieval and removal of firearms from the streets is a priority for police.”
Mackay police seeking any information from the community that could help in recovering the missing firearms.
