An electric scooter rider has been treated on scene after a horrific collision with a car in West Mackay.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the intersection of Adrian and Field St about 10am.
The spokeswoman said the man had suffered a significant leg injury. There were initial reports the rider’s leg had been ‘snapped’.
A police spokesman said both Adrian and Field Sts were closed to traffic as paramedics treated the rider.
It is understood the driver of the car is unharmed.

The man, who was a friend of the family, had been invited to stay at their home in Mackay when it is alleged he indecently dealt with two young boys over five months. He has denied the allegations.
