Uncle's vile sex abuse against six year olds
A predator has been jailed for nine years over the horrific sexual abuse of two children including using a pen and a wooden stick to rape a little girl.
The two kids - a boy and a girl, both aged six to seven years - had been under his care at the time in the Mackay region.
Mackay District Court heard he was the little girl's uncle by marriage and was often her babysitter when the offending occurred.
His sexual abuse involved touching her and making her touch him, oral sex, raping her with objects and attempting to have actual sex. He also sexually assaulted his nephew. He pleaded guilty to charges including rape and can apply for parole in February 2022.
Mackay man's perverted acts on 3yo girl, dog exposed
The "perverted" crimes of a Mackay man have been revealed in shocking detail, as he admitted to sexually abusing his stepdaughter and filming himself having sex with his dog.
Mackay District Court heard a housemate caught the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, exposing himself to the little girl.
The housemate also discovered a device with child exploitation material, which included videos of the man offending against the child.
The court heard the most serious video showed the man orally raping the girl, as she retched and cried 'no'.
There were also 13 videos of the man engaging in sex with his dog, including footage of the dog penetrating him as well as the man masturbating the dog or pushing the dog's penis inside a woman.
He pleaded guilty to charges including bestiality and rape. He was jailed for seven years with parole eligibility in December 2021.

Words from a vile rapist
A vile rapist - high on ice and drunk on rum - held his victim down as she cried for him to stop, all while her child slept in a nearby room.
Whitsunday man Conan William Walker, 24, pushed his victim to the bed and said 'I'm going to f*** you white girl' as he forced himself on her.
He only stopped and left when her crying became too loud.
The former Proserpine High student pleaded guilty to three counts of rape.
He was jailed for six years with parole eligibility in September this year after time served.
Rape victim has 'nightmares' of terrifying assault
A Bowen man who took ecstasy during an Australia Day drinking session behaved "like an animal", raping and sexually assaulting a sleeping woman.
His victim still has nightmares about the terrifying incident last year.
Royce Gregory Kreymborg had never met the young woman before they were drinking together during the long weekend in Bowen.
She woke up to the then-41 year old orally assaulting and digitally raping her.
He pleaded guilty to rape and sexual assault and was jailed for two years, suspended after four months.
'Gutted': Family's anguish as child rapist is set free
The family of a child rape victim say they are "gutted" after an appeal of the rapist's sentence was thrown out.
Queensland's Court of Appeal in April 2020 dismissed the Attorney-General's application to appeal the sentence of Mackay child predator Rogelio Acosta Ruiz.
In November 2019, Ruiz was jailed for three years, suspended after 12 months, for raping an eight-year-old girl in 2017.
Ruiz made the little girl put his penis in her mouth and "told her to think of it as a lollipop".
With time already served, he walked free in February.

A young woman was tying her shoe laces in the Mackay CBD when a drunken man who had earlier groped her on a nightclub floor bailed her up against a bank and sexually assaulted her.
He told her he would "f*** you into next week c**t" before a passerby intervened.
She was 18 years of age out with her friends for the night and he was a 34-year-old father of two, out on the town after a fight with wife.
Joshua David Thomas, now 36, pleaded guilty in Mackay District Court on Friday to sexually assaulting the teenage swimming instructor on December 29, 2018.
He also pleaded guilty to common assault when he slapped another 18-year-old woman on the bottom at the bar of the nightclub. He was jailed for two years, wholly suspended.
Former navy chef caught with child abuse images
A former navy chef caught with 11,000 child abuse images has avoided going to jail after a judge found there were "exceptional circumstances" including his own sexual abuse as a boy.
A lawyer for the Mackay father of two said his client first came across child abuse material in an "accidental way" while repairing an old computer he had picked up at the dump to on-sell.
Mackay District Court heard on April 4 last year police detected an IP address Dean James Hansen was using to download files including one titled "Ukrainian Gentle Angel Sex".
"The offences sadly are not victimless crimes. The children depicted in the videos and images are actually being subjected to sexual abuse," Judge Suzanne Sheridan said.
Hansen was jailed for 15 months with immediate release on a $1000 three-year good behaviour bond after pleading guilty to child abuse images.
'Old' paedophile groomed Mackay teens for sex
A depraved paedophile tried to groom two teen girls for sex including flashing his penis, offering money, suggesting "a quickie" and asking if one would "do an old man".
Small, frail and wrinkled, the 78-year-old man sat hunched in the Mackay District Court dock as his vile requests were detailed.
His two victims were aged 14 and 15 when they went to his Mackay home to help with chores between July 2018 and 2019.
For 11 months the elderly man, aged 75 to 76, repeatedly asked the 15 year old to engage in sexual acts, including mutual masturbation, for money.
He pleaded guilty to grooming and indecent treatment of children. He was jailed for three years and granted immediate parole after serving 402 days.
Vile stepdad sent to jail for molesting teen girl
A stepfather will spend at least eight months in jail for the vile abuse of a young teen he treated like his own daughter.
She was aged 13 and 17 when he repeatedly molested the girl in their Mackay home.
Mackay District Court heard the majority of the offending occurred in early 2015 and involved the man touching her chest and genitalia both over clothes and skin to skin contact whenever they were alone.
The court heard he again preyed on the girl three years later in 2018, despite the fact he had already been busted by her mother on the last occasion in 2015.
He pleaded guilty to six counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 under care and one count of sexual assault. He was jailed for two years with parole eligibility in June 2021.

A Mackay father who committed terrible sexual acts against his own daughter has been given a more lenient sentence than other child rapists because his crime was deemed less serious and he pleaded guilty.
Mackay District Court heard the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, saved the victim from having to give evidence, showed remorse and even made some admissions to police.
His depraved offending occurred twice while the child, aged 12 and 13 at the time, had been living with him in the Mackay region over two weeks in late 2014 and early 2015. He was aged 41 and 42.
The man undressed, touched and kissed her, digitally and orally raped her and forced her to touch him.
He pleaded guilty to rape and indecent treatment charges and was jailed for four years suspended after 10 months.
Father of eight jailed over historic sex crimes on daughters
A 76-year-old Mackay pensioner has been sent to jail for historic sex crimes against two daughters committed while his wife was seriously ill.
Judge Julie Dick questioned why it had taken the women 40 years to come forward, labelling the case "very difficult to sentence".
"Frankly at your age the punishment is going to jail, not how long you spend there," Judge Dick said.
The father of eight, who cannot be named for legal reasons, molested his daughters in the mid to late 1970s including digitally penetrating each girl while the family was at a Redcliffe beach.
Mackay District Court heard the girls were aged nine and 10 when the abuse began. He pleaded guilty to indecent treatment charges and was jailed for two years to be suspended after four months.
Few days in jail deemed enough for man with child sex images
A Cannonvale volunteer found with more than 200 images of child exploitation material has a jail sentence hanging over his head for the next two years.
Brian Peter Rogers spent three days in police custody following the offences, but was spared further time in jail when he was sentenced in Mackay District Court on Monday.
Crown legal officer Ryan Godfrey said in July 2018 police searched Rogers' boat in relation to other matters and found 201 pieces of child exploitation material on various devices including a laptop and USB.
The court heard the photos ranged in severity from category one, including photos of clothed pre-pubescent girls with camera shots focused on their genital area, to category four, which included images of an adult penis in the mouth and vagina of a young child.
He pleaded guilty to possessing child abuse material, was jailed for 12 months and released after time already served, which was three days.
