Emergency services have responded to a rollover on the Bruce Highway north of Sarina.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the single vehicle rollover happened near Eversleigh Road in Alligator Creek at 7.52am on Saturday.
As both women were initially trapped, an RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter was tasked to the incident but sent back to base when the passengers’ injuries turned out not to be serious.
The spokeswoman said a woman in her 20s suffered neck pain and a woman in her 50s had a head injury.
Both were taken to Mackay hospital.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the hospital would also “obtain a blood test to see if she (the driver) was under the influence”.
Police confirmed a tow truck had removed the wreckage by 9.10am and both lanes of the Bruce Highway were opened by 9.43am
