Missing Bucasia man Kyle Hemi reported sighting on the Sunshine Coast

Members of the public have reported seeing the missing Bucasia man 900km from his home after he disappeared more than a month ago.

A man missing for more than a month has reportedly been seen nearly 900km away from his Mackay home.

Kyle Hemi, 35, disappeared on July 20 after telling family and friends he was going camping.

Mr Hemi was last confirmed to be seen in Bucasia on Geoffrey Thomas Drive about 3.30pm.

But a police spokesman said there had been several reported sightings of Mr Hemi in the Sunshine Coast in the past week.

He said police had not confirmed the sightings.

Mr Hemi is described as 183cm tall, proportionate build, tanned complexion, black hair in dreadlocks with a brown beard and brown eyes.

The police spokesman said it was out of character for Mr Hemi not to contact his family for such a long time and fears were held for his well-being.

Police urge anyone with information about Mr Hemi’s whereabouts to contact them.
