Man rushed to hospital after reported midnight stabbing in Mackay

Emergency services rushed a man to hospital in the early morning after he was reportedly stabbed in the Mackay CBD.
The reported assault took place on Shakespeare Street around midnight on April 21.
It is understood the altercation involved two people who were known to each other.
Paramedics took a man in his 40s to Mackay Base Hospital with facial injuries.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the man had been stabbed in the ear.
He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Elsewhere in North Queensland, a man has been found dead in the Alice River park near Townsville
Acting Chief Superintendent Chris Lawson said about 7.30am police were called to the park after the body of an 18-year-old male was discovered there.
