Three fire crews were called to 303 Bridge Road just after 7pm last night over reports of a fire, which was out in about 30 minutes.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the unit was not destroyed but there was a significant amount of fire, smoke and water damage inside including in the kitchen area and to pillars.
Only the one unit was damaged by the fire, which resulted in emergency crews closing off part of Bridge Rd.

Paramedics were on standby but no one was taken to hospital.
Police were called to the scene about 9pm. As a result a 52-year-old man, who is alleged to have lived at the unit, has been charged with serious crimes.
