Police allege they were all at the same home when the incident occurred against a 54-year-old man and 51-year-old woman, who is related to Ms Mckinley.

The woman suffered a thigh wound, while the man received cuts to his arm and hip.

The 21-year-old Mount Pleasant woman cried as she appeared in Mackay Magistrates Court on Tuesday after learning her sister and boyfriend’s mother were in court in support.

“Be strong,” one of her supporters said, as both parties said “I love you”.

Ms Mckinley and Mr Law, who is from Farleigh, are both charged with two counts of wounding over the incident.

Legal Aid Queensland solicitor Rosie Varley, who appeared for Mr Law, asked for the matter to be adjourned until Wednesday for a “bail address check”.

The court heard police were objecting to his bail as all the documents were tendered to Magistrate Bronwyn Hartigan.

Solicitor Sean Gibbs, of Fisher Dore Lawyers, requested the same adjournment. The court heard bail addresses were also being explored for Ms Mckinley.

Both were remanded in custody for another night and will reappear on Wednesday.
