Jaymi Shay Cook pleads guilty to aggravated assault and street offences in Mackay city centre

A 23 year old accused of violently attacking a woman until she passed out is facing a string of street offences.

A woman accused of violently attacking a woman until she passed out will plead guilty to assault as well as a string of street offences.

Jaymi Shay Cook is charged with assault occasioning bodily harm while armed/in company over an incident in the Mackay nightclub precinct on July 29, 2020.

The 23 year old is also charged with five offences stemming from an incident on March 6, 2021 in the Mackay CBD.

These include obstructing police while adversely affected, being a public nuisance and assault police.

Cook appeared in Mackay Magistrates Court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to the six offences.

The court heard she is currently on bail. Conditions include no contact orders and a curfew between 8pm and 6am.

She will be sentenced in August.
