Hannah Rachael Evans charged with $6,000 fraud of Education Minister
A school admissions officer has faced court for the first time after allegedly defrauding thousands of dollars from the Queensland Minister for Education over two years.

A woman has faced court charged with defrauding thousands out of her employer over the course of two years.
Hannah Rachael Evans appeared at Mackay Magistrates Court on Monday for a brief mention of her case and has not yet filed pleas.
The 39-year-old is alleged to have dishonestly obtained money from the Minister of Education Queensland while an employee on diverse dates from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023 in North Mackay.
Police prosecutor Leonie Taufa’ao confirmed the amount allegedly defrauded in that time was $6,701.48.
A staff spotlight post on Mackay State High School’s Instagram identified Ms Evans as an admissions officer at the school as of March 2024.
Fisher Dore lawyer Sean Gibbs appeared for Ms Evans and her matters were adjourned to July 8.
