An alleged drug trafficker accused of pushing ice over social media has been remanded in custody.
Emma Claire Jowsey was arrested days after a police raid at Kuttabul where police seized $42,000 is cash, weapons and drugs.
Mackay Magistrates Court heard she was on bail for serious drug charges when she was allegedly caught pushing methylamphetamines by text over social media and possessing a large amount of ice and ecstasy.
But the Mackay mother allegedly told police the drugs were not hers.
Legal Aid Queensland solicitor Ancilla Seethya said, during a bail application, her client would contest some of the charges.
The court heard Ms Jowsey’s charges now included two separate trafficking offences, as well as two counts of aggravated drug possession.
She had been on bail for alleged trafficking between October 5 and 29, 2020 when she was charged for further alleged trafficking between April 9 and June 26, 2021 in the Mackay region.

The court heard the second trafficking charge stemmed from texts sent over Messenger from a profile depicting her photo.
Ms Jowsey was allegedly found with 10 grams of methylamphetamines and three grams of ecstasy following a police stop on the Bruce Highway on June 25, 2021 – she has told officers the ice was not hers.
Magistrate Bronwyn Hartigan said this suggested Ms Jowsey was “some kind of courier”.
Ms Seethya said the police case appeared “to be strong” but could still be defended and argued her client was at risk of spending too long in custody as her case progressed to the supreme court.
This was the 36 year old mother’s first time spending four days in custody.
Ms Seethya her client began using drugs and spiralled out of control in the past 12 months following a relationship breakdown – she planned to go to rehab and begin rebuilding relationships with her family.
Ms Hartigan said Ms Jowsey was in a show cause position, meaning she was not entitled to bail, and there was an unacceptable risk she may commit more drug offences.
Ms Hartigan found there was a strong “or at least arguable case” for trafficking.
“I respectfully disagree with Ms Seethya that she would spend too much time in custody,” Ms Hartigan said, adding that anyone convicted of two instances of trafficking could expect to get between three and four years jail, to serve about 12 months.
Bail was rejected and Ms Jowsey was remanded in custody. Her case will be mentioned next week.
Ms Jowsey was charged after Mackay detectives raided a Kuttabul home last week and arrested another woman and a man on a string of drugs and weapons charges.
Police seized $42,000 in case, multiple guns, 140 grams of marijuana and two grams of ice.
It is alleged Anita Louise De Knock, 38, was behind the operation. Her charges include aggravated possession of drugs and possessing a shortened firearm and a modified firearm.
Sidney Brian Dewar, 40, was also arrested in relation to the raid. His charges include two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
Neither Ms De Knock or Mr Dewar applied for bail and both were remanded to appear in court at a later date.
