A Mackay father accused of murdering his six-month-old son has been formally charged in the supreme court.
Ayden Jedd Bradshaw was arrested in 2020 over the shocking allegations.
Baby Beau Bradshaw had spent the morning with his family at the beach on June 2, 2020 before an ambulance was called to an East Mackay home where the little boy was found unresponsive.
It is alleged Beau suffered traumatic brain and other internal injuries resulting in his death.
The little boy was flown from Mackay Base Hospital to Townsville that night and later died on June 4. His organs were donated.
A two-month intensive police investigation culminated in August 2020 with Mr Bradshaw’s arrest.
A committal hearing was held in December 2021 – as a result the matter was committed to the supreme court.
On Wednesday Mr Bradshaw was formally indicted in Mackay Supreme Court on one count of murder.
At this stage Mr Bradshaw has not entered any formal pleas to the charge.
Barrister Scott McLennan requested the matter be adjourned to a later date.
The case will next be mentioned in July.
