The highly anticipated and family-oriented Pioneer Valley Show is back with a huge program – and we’ve got the inside scoop.

The Pioneer Valley Show will be back for its 57th year after the 2020 event was postponed because of Covid-19.
The country-oriented family fun day at the Finch Hatton Showgrounds will take you back to your roots with a jam-packed program suited to everyone.
There is so much to look forward and the Daily Mercury does not want you to miss a thing.
So here is everything you need to know about the Pioneer Valley Show.
Opening times
The Pioneer Valley Show is a one-day event on June 13, kicking off at 7am and continuing until late.
Pricing
Family pass for two adults and up to three children under 16 (prepaid) – $45
Family pass for two adults and two children under 16 (pay at gate) – $50
Family pass for two adults and up to three children under 16 (pay at gate) – $55
Adults (16 years and over) – $18
Pensioners – $10
School students – $8
Under school age – free

Keen attendees can pre-purchase tickets from the following locations:
Mackay Tourism Information Centre (EFTPOS only)
Melba House, Marian
Porters Mitre 10, Marian
Finch Hatton General Store, Finch Hatton
Pioneer Valley Show Society, Finch Hatton
Logistics
Show organisers have advised attendees to bring cash as ATMs will not be available.
Food and drink
The Showman’s Guild will bring the iconic festival food but additional vendors will also be on site to ensure you get your belly full.
Bars will also be open at the show with free water available.
Fireworks
The fireworks have been scheduled with families in mind and will be kicking off at 6.30pm.
Rides and showbags
Rides and showbags are yet to be announced.

The Pavilion exhibits
The Pavilion will be showcasing fine arts and horticulture to the public after judging at 10am.
This year’s categories include:
Cooking
Needlework
Craft
Cut flowers
Orchids and pot plants
Produce
Photography
Entertainment and events
Australian Stock Horse ambassador and horsemanship performer Don McLean will be in the arena.
He will be celebrating 50 years of the Australian Stock Horse Society and event organisers have assured this performance is not to be missed.
Motorcycle group FMX Kaos will be returning after popular performances in previous shows.
Horse events including equestrian and show jumping will be running throughout the whole weekend, kicking off Saturday morning.
The popular woodchopping competitions will be on to the side of the arena.
Sugarcane will be on display with farmers putting in their very best stalks to be judged.
Poultry and cattle sections will be available for viewing throughout the day.
Animal farms will also be set up for show-goers to get their cute animal cuddle fix.
Please note the dog show and caged birds exhibit will not be on this year.
