A NEW state of the art childcare centre is planned for the Mackay CBD, creating almost 100 new places for infant to school age children.
Now developers are looking for an experienced operator to run the facility.
The state-of-the-art turnkey centre will include 97 places in a six-room configuration to be built on the border of Mackay’s commercial hub.
The listing, from agent Lincoln Bridge at Benchmark Business Sales and Valuations, said it was an “outstanding opportunity” that would be “easily accessed by three large primary schools”.
“It has only two older not-for-profit competitors,” the listing read.

The proposed childcare centre’s catchment includes three primary schools with more than 1200 students, and would be equipped for infants to school-aged children.
It would be built above the Q100 flood level and its design would allow flowing activity rooms to connect with “generous playgrounds”.
