Man flown to Mackay Base Hospital after suspected GHB overdose at Sarina

The rescue chopper was called to fly a man to hospital following a suspected drug overdose at Sarina.
It is understood the 24 year old had reportedly ingested about 9mls of fantasy, also known as GHB or liquid ecstasy, and was in a bad way when flown to Mackay Base Hospital on Saturday afternoon.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said crews including paramedics and critical care paramedics were called to a Sarina location at 3.04pm where the man had self presented.
As a result the RACQ CQ Rescue chopper was called and landed at the showgrounds before flying the man to hospital for treatment.
No more information is known at this stage.
