Traditionally there’s been three easy targets to ridicule in Mackay: potholes, the highways and bad drivers.
The first has vastly improved as anyone who remembers the dodge-a-pothole game you didn’t have a choice to participate in while driving down Connors Rd could attest to.
The second, well, we’ve been complaining about the condition of the Bruce and Peak Downs Highways for as long as I can remember and probably will for decades to come.

So without further ado, I share with you something more cathartic than swearing at that d**khead on the roundabout who can’t use their blinker, brought to you by the tongue-in-cheek Facebook group, “Sh*t Parker’s of Mackay”.

Spotted in Nelson St, this driver clearly didn’t want anyone parking next to their prized possession.
Usually it’s non-parents parking in a dedicated parents with prams spot that gets on peoples’ nerves but we reckon parking on the pedestrian crossing is a greater crime in this instance.
Stripes indicating where you’re not allowed to park are only suggestions, right?
Someone tell us, can F-trucks fit in normal car parks or was this style of parking done out of necessity?
Just a little more turning on that steering wheel and you would have made it and left the road clear for other motorists.
We’re scratching our heads as to how this was even possible.
Copy and paste on our thoughts from example above. Come on shoppers, do better.

This is one way to avoid hitting the pole, so is stopping before you get to the pole.
