Mackay-Bucasia Rd motorcycle, car crash injures 25-year-old man

A busy Mackay road has been partially closed to traffic after a collision between a car and motorbike.

Police shut part of a roundabout on the Mackay-Bucasia Rd after a crash between a motorbike and car injured one man.

Emergency services rushed to the roundabout near Mount Pleasant Plaza shopping centre just before 1pm after a 25-year-old man pulled into the roundabout and collided with a white Toyota Corolla.

Paramedics assessed him but he refused further treatment at Mackay Hospital.

The female driver of the Corolla declined assessment by paramedics and was seen talking with police following the incident.

Lanes have been reduced on the Mackay-Bucasia Rd near the crash and police are providing traffic assistance.
