Christmas has come early for Mackay residents as the final touches for the North Mackay Rotary Lookout are completed.
Work on the lookout began in January 2020, but completion of the project was delayed by a few months because of social distancing restrictions.
The $1.42 million upgrade works involved replacing the current observation deck with an architecturally designed viewing platform.

Situated at the top of Pollock St in North Mackay, the community facility is a great spot to take in amazing views of the Mackay city.
The North Mackay Rotary Lookout will be officially opened next month.
This project was jointly funded by the Queensland Government’s Building our Regions program and Mackay Regional Council.
