Mackay police investigations are underway after a car was left on fire on Griffin Street
Residents have filmed footage of the moment a car suspected stolen from an airport went up in flames in a usually quiet street.

Police are investigating what they believe to be a stolen car which was engulfed in flames near the Mackay CBD last night.
Queensland Fire Department crews were called to Griffin St in Mackay just before midnight, April 19 after a white Ford falcon was found on fire.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said an initial investigation indicated the car was deliberately lit and that no one was injured.
“It is believed the vehicle involved, a white Ford Falcon, was stolen from Moranbah Airport on April 17,” she said.
Residents nearby captured the ordeal as police blocked off the street to contain the fire.
No one appeared to be at the scene when police arrived.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said the blaze was under control by 12.15am.
No one has been arrested or charges laid.
An investigation continues and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
