Mackay crash: Achille Zoile dies after Kuttabul collision
A young man who died after a single-vehicle crash north of Mackay was a well-known food truck operator who served markets across the region, as tributes flow in his memory.

Tributes are flowing for a young man who died in hospital following a horrific car crash on Tuesday.
Achille Zoile will be remembered as a fun-loving, hardworking young man who was proud of his Mauritian heritage.
The 22 year old was travelling on Kuttabul Mount Jukes Rd when his sedan veered off the road and struck a tree.
Mr Zoile operated a food truck called iL’ Maurice, where he sold Mauritian food at the Seaforth Mega Markets.
The food truck received constant praise at the markets, with toasted smoked turkey and cranberry croissants and chicken curries a major hit each week.
Mr Zoile also attended St Patrick’s College in Mackay, graduating from the school in 2018.
Mr Zoile’s friends have taken to social media to express their love for the 22 year old, with tributes posted across Facebook.
“You’ll see the good God will give you courage for the rest of this ordeal,” Stef Julie wrote.
“I learned the news with a lot of sadness, that God gives strength to Amanda and you my friend,” Lynley Binette wrote.
“May he rest in peace.”
Mr Zoile’s death was Mackay’s fourth fatality on the region’s roads in 2022.
Bruce Gibbs, 80, died in a head-on crash on the Bruce Highway south of Bowen on February 22.
A 50-year-old man died in a fiery collision between a ute and a truck on the Bruce Highway north of Koumala about 10pm on Friday, February 4.
Clermont woman, Tam Dixon Frewin, died in a two-car crash on the Peak Downs Highway west of Nebo on February 3.
