Mackay Festival of Arts is more inclusive this year with Seaforth brought into the fold to host an afternoon of live music and entertainment.
Australian folk music artist Jess Hitchcock will headline Savour Seaforth on July 25 performing heartfelt songs with her ukulele.
The award-winning opera singer previously toured with Paul Kelly and Kate Miller-Heidke on the Making Gravy Tour in 2019 and also provided back up vocals for Kate at Eurovision the same year.
The Seaforth event from noon to 4pm runs alongside the iconic Sunday markets held under the mango trees.
Mackay Mayor Greg Williamson said he was excited to introduce Seaforth to the 2021 festival.
“The Mackay Festival of Arts each year is aimed at residents from right throughout our region and visitors,’’ Cr Williamson said.
“Due to logistics, the main events are held in Mackay to cater for big crowds.
“But this year we’re taking part of the Festival to Seaforth and we’re sure it will be popular.
“Bring your picnic rugs for a seaside afternoon of delicious delicacies and live entertainment alongside the picturesque Seaforth’s Sunday.”
