A crash in the morning rain shut one CBD street to traffic.
Emergency services responded to the intersection of Victoria St and Sydney St in Mackay at around 9am to reports of a two vehicle crash.
One vehicle mounted the pavement at the west bound entry to Victoria St with its front bumper crumpled.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said several patients left the scene and paramedics are now attending their address to assess what are believed to be minor injuries.
Traffic is now flowing regularly on Sydney St and at the time of writing only the west bound lane of Victoria St near Sydney St was shut.
This comes after a night of rain and several crashes and the closure of a number of roads across the Mackay region and Whitsundays due to flood waters.
So far three separate crashes in the torrential rain have left seven injured and three fighting for their life in the Mackay and Isaac regions.
The latest crash involved three vehicles at Pleystowe last night at 8.37pm, which hospitalised four people and left a man with possibly life threatening injuries.
Prior to this the Bruce Highway was shut near Chelona after a head on collision between a small truck and ute left two men fighting for their lives.
The below roads have been designated as flooded or hazardous as of Friday, December 13, 9am.
