CONCEPTS plans have been released for Sarina's new $30 million hospital.

Mirani Labor candidate Shane Hamilton shared the artist impressions of the long-awaited health centre.

Mr Hamilton said construction on the new purpose-built hospital would begin early next year.

He said the $30 million health development would be a critical service for the community.

"Once it's complete, this hospital will give more locals access to quality healthcare, much closer to home," he said.

The new 16-bed hospital was announced in November, with the game-changing development touted to create 90 jobs over the centre's lifetime.

But the Brewers Rd hospital has been in the pipeline for years, with funding assigned to the project in the 2017-18 state budget.

It is expected to be complete by 2022.

The artist impressions drop after the Labor Party announced an expansion to the Mackay Base Hospital, and redevelopment plans for Bowen and Moranbah hospitals last month.
