Eulcom applies to build ‘Eden Academy’ in Mackay’s Northern Beaches
The centre meeting a ‘demographic need’ will cater for up to 100 children from zero to age five and boasts a library and yoga studio.

A new child care academy with a yoga studio and library could become the fourth childcare centre within a 500m radius in Mackay’s bustling Northern Beaches.
Brisbane-based Eulcom has applied to Mackay Regional Council to build a six-room centre at 33 Arana Dr, Rural View.
It is within walking distance to Goodstart Early Learning Eimeo and Rural View centres as well as C&K Eimeo Road Community Kindergarten.
If approved, the Eden Academy would cater for up to 100 children from birth to five years old.
This includes eight children in the 0-12 months room, eight in the toddlers’ 12-24 months room, 20 each in the two rooms for two to three year olds and 22 each in the two rooms for three to five year olds.
A prep area and toilets service each activity room with the centre also boasting a large outdoor play area divided into two age zones.
There is also a yoga studio, library, large kitchen with servery and three specialised sleep rooms catering for up to four children each.

The academy is Eulcom’s latest Rural View commercial development.
The business also owns Northern Beaches Emporium at 1-11 Carl St and a spare lot at 29 Arana Dr.
BP Wessell Petroleum’s application for Arana Dr is also pending approval.
The company wants to build a complex with an indoor sport and recreation centre, a drive-through takeaway and a “low impact industry” shop.
