Emergency crews called for motorbike rider into barbed wire fence

A motorbike rider has been taken to hospital after he collided with a fence and reportedly trapped in its barbed wire.

A motorbike rider has been taken to Moranbah Hospital in a stable condition after he collided with a fence and reportedly became trapped in its barbed wire.

The accident happened at 10.46am Sunday, according to Queensland Ambulance Service, on a private property in the Moranbah region off the Peak Downs Highway near the Isaac River Bridge.

The rider, a man in his 30s, was on a dirt bike when he hit the barbed wire fence and became trapped.

Initial reports indicated the wire had gone through his eyes.
