MACKAY gets its first drive-through coffee tomorrow and Graci Gee starts her first job.

The 14-year-old Holy Spirit College student is very excited.

"I found the job listing for Stellarossa online and applied, I didn't tell my parents because I didn't want them to make a big deal about it," Graci said.

"When I got the interview I told them and they were pretty surprised. I didn't really think I would get the job because I'm so young, but I just went to the interview hoping for the best."

And it turned out in her favour because Graci was hired as a part-time employee for Stellarossa's newest drive-through concept at Rural View.

Stellarossa franchisee Mel Fowler said the whole staff was excited for the cafe to open to open its doors tomorrow.

"We're training about a dozen staff today for the opening and in the next few days we'll be training the remaining staff," Ms Fowler said.

"We've hired 16 employees - full-time, part-time and casuals and we'll be recruiting another half a dozen in the coming weeks."

Ms Fowler encouraged anyone looking to become a barista to bring their resumes to the cafe.

"If I'm here, I'll speak to you right away," she said.

Stellarossa's drive-through coffee cafe is open today from 5am at Arana Drive in Rural View.
