A man with at least 29 prior court appearances has again faced a magistrate, this time for a crime spree lasting two months.

Magistrate John Aberdeen read out the 10 fresh charges on Daniel Murphy William Tyson Panschow’s rap sheet as the repeat offender video linked to Mackay Magistrates Court from jail.

The court heard the earliest of the new charges occurred on May 16, 2021 when Panschow entered a property in a manner likely to cause unlawful violence to a person.

Weeks later on June 8, he was found with a knife at Mount Pleasant Centre without a reasonable excuse.

The new public weapon offence marks the second time Panschow was caught with a knife in the past year, with him earlier receiving a separate sentence for having a large knife inside a laundromat in October.

The next charge in Panschow’s offending timeline was a break-and-enter of Universal Hair Studio along Nebo Road in West Mackay on June 23, Mr Aberdeen said.

There he stole an Apple iPad, alcohol and money.

On the same day, Panschow entered the neighbouring Chickadee Takeaway with an intent to commit an indictable offence.

Also on June 23, he stole three laptops after breaking into a building at the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens along Lagoon St in West Mackay.

The court heard Panschow’s last few offences were committed just more than a fortnight later on July 8.

Mr Aberdeen said Panschow broke conditions of bail granted from the court only two days prior.

This included a curfew between 7pm and 7pm and needing to answer the door when police called on him.

Also on July 8, the South Mackay man broke into and stole from Urban Wave Surf Store on Gregory St, obstructed a police officer in the performance of their duty and damaged a door on the police car.

Defence solicitor Paul Broughton, of ATSILS, is representing Panschow who pleaded guilty to all 10 charges.

Mr Aberdeen scheduled a long plea date for August 27.
