Police car, light pole damaged in two-car Mackay CBD crash
A police car has been towed from the scene of a dramatic crash in the Mackay region which saw a light pole taken out and three people taken to hospital.

A police car and another vehicle have been extensively damaged and a light pole has been taken out in a two-car smash up in the Mackay CBD which occurred while police were responding to an incident.
The crash occurred before 2.30pm on the corner of George and Milton streets when a police vehicle responding to a priority incident in Mackay, collided with a four-wheel drive at the intersection.
Queensland Police, Queensland Fire and Rescue and Queensland Ambulance Service crews all attended the scene.
QAS paramedics assessed three patients at the scene.
Two fire crews were dispatched and police were assisting with traffic control.
A police spokeswoman said two police officers, one male constable and one female constable, were treated at the scene before being transported to the Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the four-wheel drive, a 30-year-old woman, was also treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
Investigations are ongoing.
