As a little girl Marian local Tiffany Keegan loved watching the cows and horses at the Pioneer Valley Show, and now she can share that joy with her daughters.
“It’s really special to be able to take my kids to it,” Mrs Keegan said.
“I love how relaxed it is, and there’s a real focus on families.”
The 2021 Pioneer Valley Show has been heralded as the biggest since its 50th anniversary eight years ago.
Show committee member John Aslette said the day was crazy but fantastic.
While the number of attendees had not been confirmed, Mr Aslette said he expected it to be in excess of 10,000 people.

“There was a bit of a line at the gate but everyone was really patient and socially distanced,” he said.
“We weren’t really expecting this amount of people.”
With the event cancelled last year because of Covid-19, Mr Aslette believed people were just excited to be able to enjoy the show again.
Mackay Mayor Greg Williamson and his wife Annette were just some of the attendees happy to see the show back.
“It’s a great celebration of agriculture in our valley,” Cr Williamson said.
“It’s a truly regional show.”
