A MAN who shaped modern Mackay has been laid to rest in the town he called home for the best part of 63 years.
Mourners gathered at St Patrick's Church on River St, the MECC and over their phones and laptops to watch the livestreamed State Funeral for Tim Mulherin.
More than 300 people watched his funeral service from the MECC, one of the many legacies of Mr Mulherin's time as a Mackay MP.
