Hayley Martin performs in Frozen the Musical in Brisbane
Hayley Martin is not only a star performer but is teaching the importance of yoga and nutrition in the musical theatre industry.

Hayley Martin is not one to just let it go when chasing her dreams and passions.
Ms Martin grew up in Proserpine and has been dancing since she was three years old and singing since she was nine.
She has performed in various national and international music theatre shows such as Chicago, Anything Goes and Hugh Jackman’s Broadway to Oz Tour.
“As soon as I realised musical theatre was something you could do for a living, the focus was very much there,” she said.
“It has always been a very big passion and I am very lucky to have been able to move in a career that I love to much.”
Ms Martin is also a yoga teacher at different full time performing arts schools around Australia.
“The main school I work at is Patrick School of the Arts,” she said.
“It is nice to be able to pass on the knowledge I have to up and coming generations of performers.
“Mindfulness goes hand-in-hand with developing their skills and technique.”
Disney’s Frozen the Musical will premiere at the Lyric Theatre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre on Saturday February 12 and will mark its 202nd show.
Ms Martin said Frozen the Musical was on her bucket lists of shows to perform in.
“I have always loved Disney but I am a big fan of Frozen.,” she said.
“It celebrates sisterhood and is empowering for women but there is just so much more substance to the storyline.
“The themes that the show explores are very relatable and regardless of age, generation, how people identify or where you are at in life there is really something for everyone.”
She said she believed Frozen somewhat reflected Covid-19 and the struggles many people had experienced during lockdowns.
“Elsa is essentially stuck in isolation so we can all relate to that,” she said.
“When we go into first time in forever and they say the gates are open and we all get to run out on to stage.”
