Eight Mackay locals dance their way to support hospitals

Eight business leaders, some who have never danced before, are preparing for a showstopping performance to support the region’s hospitals. Find out why and how you can take part.

An assortment of business leaders are saying “yes to scary things” as they step out of their comfort zones to raise money for essential hospital equipment.

The Mackay Hospital Foundation is hosting Dancing with Heart where eight contestants will showcase their individual styles with a choreographed dance in support of Mackay Isaac Whitsunday region hospitals.

Fame Talent School’s Dolly Louw has been working with each dancer one-on-one to fine tune their skills on the dance floor.

Money raised from the event will go towards buying Bilirubin blankets for jaundiced babies, upgrading an Intensive Care Unit room and items for mental health, among other things.

Dancing with Heart is on Friday, March 31 at the MECC. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
