AN "unfortunate" crash has impacted a Mackay festival due to attract thousands of people this weekend.
Music festival The Grass is Greener, which took place at Cairns last weekend, is on again in Mackay on Saturday.
But the festival is warning an accident which took place on the way to Mackay will impact patrons.
"Unfortunately our ATM Supplier has had an accident on the way down to Mackay," a festival spokesman said Friday.
"Luckily he (driver) is okay, but the ATMs are not.
"This means there will not be ATMs on Site this Saturday."
The all-age festival is urging people to bring cash to the event.
"Please make sure you bring enough cash as only cash will be accepted."
People on social media have expressed concerns about the dangers of carrying cash at the event.
This year's line-up includes Peking Duk, British India and Sachi.
The Mackay festival is taking place at Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens.
