Cement truck rolls on Mackay-Eungella Road, closing road to traffic
A cement truck rollover closed a major road in Mackay’s Pioneer Valley for several hours, but emergency services have freed the man and cleared the road.

A popular road west of Mackay has been cleared and reopened after a cement truck rolled and trapped its driver.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Mackay-Eungella Road in Marian about 2.15pm on Tuesday.
The male driver was trapped at the legs and unable to remove himself from the truck.
The driver had an unspecified medical episode while trapped.
Emergency services removed him from the cab about 3.20pm and took him to Mackay Base Hospital with non-life-threatening lower-leg injuries.
The road was cleared and reopened at 4.10pm.
Paramedics and critical care units attended the scene, as well as police and fire services.
It is understood some cane trains in the area have also been halted.
A forensic crash unit is travelling to the scene to conduct investigations into the incident.
