A skydiver has suffered a hard landing near the same drop zone where fellow skydiver Douglas Ball sustained critical injuries.

Paramedics treated a female patient in her 30s with a leg injury on scene at Kunapipi Road, close to the Laguna Quays dropzone.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said there was no indication yet of how serious the leg injury was.

The paramedics took the woman to Proserpine Hospital, where she is in a stable condition.

The incident comes just days after the passing of skydiver Douglas Ball, who died at Princess Alexandra Hospital a week after a hard landing at Laguna Quays.

Mr Ball, 52, was a highly experienced skydiver and worked as a tandem instructor with 1300 Skydive Australia, a company with branches across the country, including Airlie Beach Skydivers.

Gold Coast skydiving instructor Jason Bennett suffered multiple serious spinal injuries in a hard landing at address on Meandarra Talwood Road.

A five-day skydiving event, Jyro Boogie 2023, is under way at the site.

Mr Bennett is an instructor with iFly Surfers Paradise.

More to come.
