The Clermont Show is coming back for its annual three-day packed country show to entertain young and old alike and test wannabe farmers by having them eat dry Weetbix.

We’ve asked organiser Kate Flohr what makes it worth the drive down, and she said people looking for a “real country show” would get everything they need entertainment wise, while it would keep “old school vibes”.

Between the annual grand parade, cattle judging, horse events, dinosaur comedy ventriloquists, train rides and flames show, Ms Flohr said there would be “something for everyone”.

What will be at the Clermont Show in 2024?

This year’s Clermont show will feature the traditional cattle judging and horse events as well as will showcase working dogs and other farm animals over the three days.

But there are many entertainment options in store with dinosaur comedy ventriloquists from Dinkum Dinosaurs expected to perform on multiple occasions throughout the show.

We’ve also asked what the Young Farmers Challenge will entail and were told that teams of four wannabe farmers will have to do a list of activities that all weathered farmers go through, such as eating dry weetbix, rolling up a swag, fill a bucket by using a leaking bucket, or setting up a yard of portable panels.

For those wanting to look at a more traditional activity, the wood chopping competition will be one not to miss.
