Cane train derails at Sarina, south of Mackay

Multiple trucks were brought in to try and realign a cane train which came off the track south of Mackay.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said two firefighting crews were called to the incident on Webb St in Sarina about 1.30pm.
“There was no cane spilt but some spot fires had started which were brought under control,” she said.
“It’s all wrapped up.”
There were no injuries in the incident but police were called in to help direct traffic.
The cane train was owned by Wilmar Sugar.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman earlier confirmed that a crew had been called to the scene.
One carriage has been cleared as work continues on the others.
