A new family-owned business hopes a pizza night and in-house smoked meats will set them apart when it comes to a dining experiences in the Pioneer Valley.

Three Little Birds Eatery opened its doors in the heart of Mirani in early May, with a focus on securing local produce for their meals.

Co-owner Tamae Austin said the goal was to provide people a unique dining experience.

“We could see an opportunity in the area where we could offer people a unique dining experience with unique flavours,” she said.

“We specialise in fresh homemade pies and in-house smoked meats.”

The Three Little Birds Eatery is located where the old Pioneer Valley diner used to be.

Elizabeth and David Page, the former owners of the Pioneer Valley Diner at 18 Alexandra Street, announced the sale last month after 23 years in business.

Ms Austin said the eatery served breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, with no strict opening hours as the business settled into a rhythm.

“We have had great community support with wonderful feedback since opening,” she said.

Popular community requests led to Austin introducing pizzas to the menu.

“We had a lot of requests for pizza, so we decided to run a pizza night,” she said.

Despite being a locally owned and operated business, Austin said there was room to grow.

“We aim to grow and adapt as a small business,” she said.

“We can only improve from here.”
