Initial findings into Mr Hardwick's death at Anglo American's Moranbah North mine on February 20, 2019, were released in May last year.
The report shared initial learnings and recommendations with industry.
An Anglo American spokeswoman yesterday said the investigation was being finalised with the Mines Inspectorate.
"We continue to cooperate with authorities through this process," she said.
Mr Hardwick's wife Lisa Hardwick said she wanted a thorough investigation conducted.
"In regards to the investigation, I have had to exercise an extreme level of patience," she said.
"It is a very complicated scenario that requires a number of agencies to gather evidence and I would rather it took the time it needed to gather all the facts in order to make conclusions."
