The proposal does not detail whether there will be new playground equipment installed.
Internally, there are plans to install a new front counter and adjoining McCafe which customers would see first as they walked through the main entrance.
The drive-through area would also gain a second servery window with an awning for weather protection and there would be an extra pedestrian crossing to the store added from Heaths Rd.
“The upgrades outlined are being proposed to help improve the amenity and usability of the restaurant for walk in and drive-through customers,” the proposal stated.
The restaurant was Mackay’s first McDonald’s, opening 30 years ago on April 2 by Rona and Cree Reseck.
