An online store has come to life in the form of a pop-up shop on Thursday, with the event running across two days.
Teeny Tiny Interiors has opened its physical doors for the first time, welcoming customers in Mackay to browse through products on the shop floor rather than the web page.
The store is completely run by Mackay mum and interior designer Kylie Giumelli, who said her business was inspired by the birth of her first child.
“I fell in love with the world of children’s decor, so the products primarily sold are babies, kids and teens decor,” Mrs Giumelli said.
“Some of the products are quite versatile that they would suit any room of a house.”
Products range from cot and bassinet sheets, to beanbags, cushions, swaddles, wall decals and play mats.
The long-term goal of the business is to eventually open a permanent shop front, with the pop-up store a solid foundation to build on.
“We’re currently online only, but my goal is to one day open a shop here in Mackay,” Mrs Giumelli said.
“I’m a part of the North Queensland Babies and Kids Market, where they do an amazing job organising the pop-ups.
“You can also find me there, I’m aiming to be at every pop-up that is organised in Caneland as well.”
