Firefighters have managed to save a Mackay home from burning to the ground after a fire broke out on the second level.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesman said two crews were called to the scene along Annmore St in Andergrove just after 4pm.
The family and neighbours watched on as firefighters attempted to stop the blaze spreading, and rushed to save Christmas presents from the flames.
Paramedics tended to two family members at the scene, but they both declined transport to Mackay Base Hospital.
It is further understood all occupants who were inside the home made it outside before the blaze reached its peak.
